How to Contract with the State of New Mexico

Contracts are not a violation of the anti-donation, because they involve an exchange of value, typically services for funds. In New Mexico, grants are contracts by another name.

1. Register to be a “Vendor” with the State

2. State Contract Request for Proposals

The following state agencies post Request for Proposals (RFPs) that may be viewed without registering in the system:

• Aging and Long-Term Services

• Early Childhood Education and Care Department

• Indian Affairs Department

• Housing New Mexico | Mortgage Finance Authority

• Public Education Department

3. Considerations

New Mexico contracts are on a reimbursement basis. Your organization will need to cover the cost of providing services and then submit an invoice for reimbursement. Read the fine print and ask questions so you understand the terms of the agreement.
