This day-long virtual event will bring together public health professionals, rural health leaders, policymakers, and community stakeholders to explore how H.R.1, also referred to as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, might influence health equity, healthcare delivery systems, workforce development, behavioral health, and access to care across New Mexico's diverse communities.
Participants will hear from subject matter experts in public policy, healthcare finance, rural primary care, workforce development, and behavioral health. Panel discussions and breakout sessions will create space for meaningful discussion about the projected impacts of HR1 on both urban and rural health systems.
The seminar underscores the shared commitment of NM Public Health Association and NM Rural Health Association to advocate for stronger public health infrastructure, inclusive policy planning, and equitable health outcomes, particularly for communities that face resource limitations or structural barriers to care.
