Position Overview

The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative and operational leader of Alamogordo MainStreet and is responsible for implementing the organization's mission, strategic priorities, projects, partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and daily operations.

This position requires a highly motivated, organized, relationship-driven professional capable of balancing long-term strategic planning with day-to-day program execution. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, government partners, business owners, volunteers, and community stakeholders to advance downtown revitalization efforts and organizational sustainability.

The position requires frequent evening and weekend work for meetings, events, public engagement, and special projects.
