  • The 2026 regular legislative session is over. The Governor has until March 11 to sign bills that passed or they will be pocket vetoed.

Interim Committees

New Mexico has alternating thirty day and sixty day sessions. As a result, much of the legislature’s work happens during the interim in committee meetings. The committees meet at various locations around the state, offering citizens an opportunity to observe the meetings and meet legislators. The Interim Committees usually start meeting in May or June.
