2018 Elections

New Mexico has a lot at stake in the 2018 elections. Elections are opportunities for nonprofits to promote their issues by interacting with candidates, and hosting nonpartisan forums. We are better represented when people vote.  Voting is a way for communities to help shape and change the systems that effect them every day.

Voter Engagement

  • Nonprofits can provide information about all candidates

  • Nonprofits can encourage, staff, board, volunteers, and all constituents to vote

  • Nonprofits can host candidate forums (invite all candidates)

  • Early Voting: until November 3, 2018

  • Request for Absentee Ballot: by Friday, November 2, 2018, 5:00 pm

  • Absentee Ballot Deadline: Tuesday, November 6, 2018, 7:00 pm

  • governor and the governor will appoint two NM Supreme Court judges

  • lieutenant governor

  • secretary of state

  • state attorney general

  • state auditor

  • state treasurer

  • commissioner of public lands

  • United States representatives for Districts 1, 2, and 3

  • United States senator

  • Numerous county officials, judges, and commissioners
